The Palliative Care Medicines Pharmacy Network consists of 30 metro and regional community pharmacies who have been selected as part of a program funded by the Department of Health and Wellbeing and who are committed to working closely with patients and their healthcare team to provide improved access to a core list of palliative care medicines (CML), including providing the medicines after hours in urgent situations.
Pharmacies within the Palliative Care Medicines Pharmacy Network maintain a minimum stock of core medicines to ensure people approaching the end of life are able to access the medicines when they need them, particularly if their usual pharmacy does not have stock available.
