HLTAID009 Provide CPR & HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Courses Available

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid training courses outline the knowledge and skills necessary to perform first aid response, life support and management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

Provide CPR must be renewed every 12 months and Provide First Aid (which is inclusive of Provide CPR) must be renewed every 3 years. Provide First Aid is inclusive of CPR and thus, you only register for one training course.

Both Provide CPR and Provide First Aid consists of a blended format, consisting of self-paced Online Learning Modules (via GuildED account) followed by a  practical face-to-face workshop. The online learning modules must be successfully completed prior to attending the practical workshop.

Both training courses are CPD-accredited for pharmacists.

Please note: as of October 2020, it is now a new requirement for QCPP accredited pharmacies to have at least one rostered staff member in possession of a valid First Aid qualification. Similarly, it is a mandatory requirement for all practicing pharmacist vaccinators to hold a valid Provide CPR and Provide First Aid Statement of Attainment.
