Please join Painaustralia CEO Giulia Jones and pharmacist Catherine Bronger tomorrow at the launch of this new national day of awareness to highlight how clinicians such as pharmacists can help provide help to millions of Australians who live with chronic pain.
Ms Jones said the purpose of the day is to send a strong message to the community and to our leaders that community pharmacies are essential to ensuring patients get the proper pain management they deserve.
“People who live with chronic pain are everywhere and they often feel invisible. They are afraid to stand up and say they live with pain in case they are judged, their pain is dismissed, or they are ignored by the people who should care,” she said.
“Please join with us and the many pharmacies who have dressed up their stores in red to highlight how they want to listen and help those many Australians who live with chronic pain.”
