Time is running out for APP2021 Super Early Bird savings

3 February 2021

The Australian Pharmacy Professional Conference and Trade Exhibition (APP) organisers, the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, have reminded potential attendees of the approaching deadline for discounted tickets to attend APP2021 (20-23 May, Gold Coast).

APP Convenor and former Guild National President, Kos Sclavos AM, encouraged anyone wanting to attend this year’s event to register before 8 February, as they would save up to $200.

Mr Sclavos said the super early bird deadline was timely, given that COVID-19 restrictions on travelling to Queensland for parts of New South Wales and Victoria have now been lifted.

“With travel restrictions from Sydney in particular easing, now is the time to register, save up to 20% on your registration fee and enjoy a well-earned break,” Mr. Sclavos said.

“We have also recently released the education program so you can view the fantastic line up of speakers and topics on offer at this year’s event before registering.”

“We’re very excited to be hearing from high-profile speakers, such as leading retail expert Gary Mortimer, who will be speaking on consumer behaviour in a post-COVID world, CommBank Chief Economist Craig James, and past Australian Olympians, Anna Meares OAM and Steven Bradbury OAM.”

Mr. Sclavos highlighted that the event had a comprehensive COVID-Safe Event Plan in place, which was developed to keep attendees safe.

Mr. Sclavos also reminded potential delegates and exhibitors that the Pharmacy Guild of Australia has secured access to a $50M Business Events Grants program launched by the Federal Government to support the post-COVID economic recovery of the business events sector. To be eligible for the funding, delegates and exhibitors must spend a minimum of $20K to get as much as 50% returned to them.
