Pharmacy Connect 2021 has been postponed until 1-3 September 2022 because of the on-going COVID-19 outbreak and extended lockdown in New South Wales.
NSW Pharmacy Guild of Australia Branch President David Heffernan, said that while challenging, the decision was the correct one as it put the health and welfare of the participants and exhibitors front and centre.
“New South Wales community pharmacies are currently fighting hard on the frontline of a COVID-19 outbreak that is unfortunately very close to home,” Mr Heffernan said.
“They are focusing on what matters most – the health and safety of their patients.
“Postponing Pharmacy Connect was a tough decision to make.
“This is the second year in a row that COVID-19 has prevented us from being able to meet safely as an industry at this event.”
Pharmacy Connect attendees, who can now receive a full refund or transfer their registration to next year’s event due to the 100 per cent COVID refund guarantee in place, will be contacted by the Guild events team.
Pharmacy Connect 2022 will be held 1-3 September 2022 at the Hilton Sydney.
