Guild Insurance has been recognised as the Small General Insurance Company of the Year at this year’s Australian Insurance Industry Awards.
Nominated for demonstrating exceptional dedication to the Australian insurance industry and sharing a common pursuit for excellence, the recognition was awarded by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.
Guild Insurance was recognised for its initiatives and programs that demonstrated a strong commitment to the wellbeing of the community while supporting its customers through the COVID-19 vaccination rollout.
The company also provided pandemic relief to a large number of customers through discounted premiums in 2020, and was commended for the clear way in which pandemic-specific insurance information was communicated to its wider customer base.
A spokesperson for ANZIIF said: "Guild Insurance’s display of market leadership during 2020 will undoubtedly encourage new attitudes towards insurance as a profession and further inspire the industry to invest in taking responsibility for the community",
The Acting General Manager – Insurance, Scott Simmons, accepted the award on behalf of Guild Insurance saying: “We are thrilled and honoured to accept this award that recognises our employees’ professionalism, dedication, hard work, their care for their clients and for each other throughout a very difficult year.
“Our purpose is to be there for those people who our communities rely on and undoubtedly, we’ve demonstrated that. Our communities, our business partners, the associations we work with, our clients, our claimants, and most importantly our people. I’m so proud to lead a dedicated and enthusiastic team.”
