The recent floods in Far North Queensland caused by Cyclone Jasper are a reminder of how much Australians rely on their community pharmacy, especially in times of crisis.
Now the Pharmacy Guild wants the public to recognise the efforts and dedication of community pharmacists with our new #HereForYou awareness campaign.
The campaign involves a video and social media reminding patients that, “during tough times, floods, fires, illness and when times are good, we are here”.
In a message sent out to members, the Guild has said that after a challenging 2023, “we want to again thank you for your heroic efforts this year.
“(The year) 2024 looks to be another year full of trial and opportunity, during which the Guild will continue to fight for you and your patients,” it said.
Members are being encouraged to share the videos and messages on their social media channels to highlight the “incredible effort and the important services you provide to Australian communities, showing how through all the tough times we’re, ‘Always Here For You.’”
