With the ushering in of the new financial year, minimum wages under the Pharmacy Industry Award (PIA) have increased.
Starting from the first full pay period on or after 1 July, minimum wages and certain allowances under the PIA 2020 have increased by 3.75%. Additionally, the Superannuation Guarantee has risen from 11% to 11.5%.
The Guild’s Annualised Wage Calculator for 2024/25 is now available for Guild members. This tool allows pharmacy owners to calculate the Annualised Wage for a full-time employee that must be paid to comply with the Award provision.
The 2023/24 calculator is also still accessible for reviewing the past 12 months to ensure there were no underpayments for the 2023/24 financial year.
