For up-and-coming pharmacists, those early in their careers, and those who value high quality education for the wellbeing of the profession, a healthy partnership between the National Australian Pharmacy Students' Association (NAPSA) and the Australasian College of Pharmacy (College) is great news.
A new agreement will afford all NAPSA members with complimentary membership to the Australasian College of Pharmacy.
The College recently re-signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NAPSA that was originally signed at the 2024 Pharmacy Connect Conference in Sydney by Amanda Seeto, CEO of the College, and Sebastian Harper, National President of NAPSA.
Amanda Seeto, CEO of ACP, Sebastian Harper, National President of NAPSA and Suzanna Nash, ACP's Chief Pharmacist at the 2024 Pharmacy Connect Conference in Sydney re-signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reinforcing their ongoing partnership.
The collaboration signifies a strengthened commitment to the professional development of pharmacy students across Australia and emphasises the importance of bridging the gap between university education and professional practice.
Both organisations aim to help graduates transition from university studies to professional practice to ensure they are well-prepared for their future careers in the industry.
Ms Seeto expressed her excitement about the ongoing partnership, saying, "The College is thrilled to continue our partnership with NAPSA and support the next generation of pharmacists.
"As part of this renewed agreement, the College will offer complimentary membership to all NAPSA members during their university studies," she said.
Mr Harper also welcomed the renewal of the agreement, highlighting the value of continuous learning for pharmacy students. "NAPSA members are always looking for new opportunities to learn and complement their university studies," Harper said.
"I'm proud to renew this MoU with the College, as we deliver exactly that for thousands of pharmacy students."
To get started on their full scope journey, NAPSA members can access the College's Uncomplicated Cystitis Training.
"With UTI services in community pharmacy now available Australia-wide, this training is a must for pharmacy students," Ms Seeto concluded.
