The finalist videos highlight how these outstanding pharmacies strive to meet patient needs through creative models of care, local partnerships, and a deep understanding of the communities they serve.

Complete Care Pharmacy, Rosny Park (TAS) was named the 2025 Guild Pharmacy of the Year and also received the award for Excellence in Professional Innovation. With a model built from the ground up, the pharmacy features pod-style consultation rooms, a custom check-in system and a quiet hour to better meet patient needs. Co-owner Kristina Fox said, “People told us what they needed — and we built something around that.” The Complete Care model is now being adopted by other pharmacies around the country.

Capital Chemist, Charnwood (ACT) received two category awards for Excellence in Community Engagement and Excellence in Harm Minimisation. Samantha and Rebecca have created a truly local pharmacy that partners with aged care homes, women’s refuges, and refugee support organisations. The team also delivers services such as opioid therapy and medical abortion care. “We don’t just run a pharmacy — we live here,” Samantha said. “This community relies on us to be there for them.”

Warnbro Pharmacy (WA) was recognised for Excellence in Business Management. The team has built out new services in areas of unmet need, including sleep apnoea, mobility aids, and allied health partnerships. Staff training and upskilling, including support for pharmacy assistants to pursue further study, is a part of their success, too. “We’ve built services around what WA needs,” said proprietor Brett. “That means training our whole team to step up.”

Berridale Pharmacy (NSW) was a finalist for its outstanding role in delivering healthcare to a small Snowy Mountains community. With a delivery service spanning a 45km radius and a team that includes a Credentialled Diabetes Educator, an Asthma Educator and a pharmacist studying Western Herbal Medicine, the pharmacy ensures the small community receives an array of care. “In a region where healthcare access can be limited, it’s important we bring these services right here to Berridale,” said owner Freya.

Pharmacy Help Karratha (WA) was recognised as a finalist for its leadership in mental health, Indigenous health and children’s wellbeing in a remote region. To attract and retain staff, the pharmacy has invested in staff housing and professional development. To support service delivery, new technologies — including Australia’s first dual-tenancy robot — was procured. “We’ve built a pharmacy that actively improves the health and wellbeing of everyone who walks through our doors,” said co-owner Laura.

These five finalists show just what’s possible when pharmacies are empowered to innovate and respond to local needs.
