The Guild thanks all participants for their incredible entries, and PDL for their generous sponsorship of the Cultural Engagement Forum.
Cultural Engagement
With the theme “Community Pharmacy: Creating Cultural Connections”, the Cultural Engagement video competition invited members to showcase what it meant to serve diverse communities, from fostering cultural safety to connecting with patients of different backgrounds.
Life Pharmacy Group’s video highlighting their cultural awareness training, inclusive practices for patients and staff and support of community causes took home the Best Video award with a free APP 2026 registration and $500 to put towards cultural activities. In the People’s Choice category, Carter’s Pharmacy Gunnedah shared their commitment and connection to Indigenous communities with a multi-lingual cover of The Seekers’ “I Am Australian”.
Congratulations to both winners! You can watch the award-winning entries.
I Love Rural Pharmacy
The Rural Pharmacy Forum closed out with the I Love Rural Pharmacy video competition, which received a record number of submissions sharing the strategies regional, rural and remote community pharmacies use to recruit and retain their workforce.
This year, Best Video went to Carter’s Pharmacy in Gunnedah NSW celebrating the rewards and benefits of working in a rural community where patients and pharmacists can forge strong connections, often across generations. Carter’s Pharmacy took home a $4,500 prize package to put towards the implementation of full-scope services, proudly sponsored by Raven’s Recruitment.
In Port Hedland, Pharmacy 777’s humorous take on the challenges of finding and keeping pharmacy staff won the People’s Choice Award with a free full registration for APP 2026.
