The Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP) is a quality assurance program for community pharmacy and provides support and guidance on professional health services and pharmacy business operations. Today, over 94% of community pharmacies in Australia are QCPP accredited.
The aim of the program is to ensure that community pharmacies provide quality, safe and consistent professional services, and customer care.
As part of the QCPP requirements all staff who supply Pharmacy Medicines and assist the pharmacist to supply Pharmacist Only Medicines must receive training via a recognised and accredited course. The unit, SIRCIND002 - Support the supply of Pharmacy Medicines and Pharmacist Only Medicines meets this QCPP requirement.
The completion of this unit will ensure that Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP) requirements for supply of scheduled medicines is met.
Any non-pharmacist staff who supply pharmacy medicines and assist the pharmacist to supply pharmacist only medicines.
Please be aware that the Pharmacy Guild is not a CRICOS provider, and therefore cannot accept enrolments from students on a study visa.
Note: You must be working in a pharmacy to undertake this training.
The minimum age to undertake S2S3 training in QLD is 16 years of age due to the Medicines and Poisons (Medicines) Amendment Regulation 2021.
Recognition of Prior Learning is available for all qualifications. The RPL process acknowledges the skills and competencies gained from work experience, prior training and life experiences.
The course cost is $110 with an additional payment platform fee of $2.20. The total cost being $112.20. Payment is by credit card only.
